History

Hollander techniek was set up in 1974 as an independent company by the deceased Jan Hollander. During the first years, we produced electrical installations for various customers and took care of small adjustments and maintenance in the utility sector and the industrial sector. The growth in the market led to new projects. The fault repair service was already available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Up to 1990

In 1976, we began a special Security Engineering department, initially producing safes and constructional security provisions, and later electronic systems.

In 1988, when Royal Dutch Telecom [KPN] had to give up its monopoly in the field of telephony, Hollander techniek began the specialist department of Telematics (ICT). The working activities involved installing and programming telephone systems and data networks.

Up to 2005

In 1991, a second branch was opened in Almere. This city was easy to get to, was being fully developed and had a tremendous growth potential.

In 2002, Hollander techniek acquired TSB in Twello, as a result of which we could now also realize complete swimming pool installations. In that year we also opened a third branch in Amersfoort, mainly aimed at retail techniques and shop automation throughout the whole of the Netherlands.

In 2004, the mayor of Almere, Mrs Annemarie Jorritsma, opened the new build of the branch in Almere. This more spacious accommodation enabled further growth and a better provision of services.

Up to 2010

In 2006, due to the increasing growth, the branch in Amersfoort was moved to a larger location on the Beeldschermweg. In that year we also started up a complete department of Mechanical Engineering, and we took over the activities of Pick & Place robotization from Zelhem and Twine BV system integration from Apeldoorn.

In 2008, Hollander techniek was certified as a medium voltage installer, which signified the start of the new department of Medium Voltage Technology.

In 2009, the fourth branch was opened in Almelo, where we assemble full turnkey robot solutions.

Up to 2012

Our training centre onderWERKwijs was set up in August 2011. With an extensive basic training, we ensure a high level of quality for the engineers in training (block or day release courses). There is also scope for existing employees to receive training and to develop. onderWERKwijs is all about gaining new insights into your work, every day.

In October 2011, both Hollander techniek and contractors Huurderman, with the support of the municipality of Amersfoort, set up a mini wind turbine. The measuring and regulating system by Hollander techniek keeps the results up-to-date. This power generation is yet another step in the direction of a CO2 neutral society.
